Do you remember this scene from the movie ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara’?
The above scene has been taken from the movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara, in which, the 3 friends go on an adventure trip and in this particular instance, they try Scuba Diving for the first time.
Though they were first unsure about how the experience will turn out to be, but with every second of the beauty they witness in the underwater, the trio falls in love with the nature and with LIFE even more.
Specially Hrithik Roshan, who is shown as a Share Market bull, who has only one aim in life – to earn Money, Money and Money. He is shown to be a workaholic and portrayed as with no or far-from-emotions. But when Katrina, the Scuba diving trainer in the movie, takes them through the under-sea beauty, Hrithik is the one gets most awestruck.
So much so that he starts crying after they come out of the sea.
This scene always reminds me of this quote, by Jacques Yves Cousteau:
The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.
And, I absolutely agree with the emotion! The world which is still unseen by most of us, which lies deep in the seas, is amazing.
The images that follow are just a reminder of the beauty that these hidden worlds are saving for us:
Enough of day dreaming about Scuba Diving
Obviously these movies and the above pictures are to dreamy! But one has to dream to achieve.
In most of the Bollywood movies, such scenes are shot at either International locations, which are far from doable for most of us. But should that mean that we can only see dreams and not scuba-dive ourselves?
Nah! Not many are aware that we can do Scuba Diving in Goa!! Yes, GOAAAAA!!!
I have been to Goa at least 6 times personally and I never knew we could do SCUBA DIVING in Goa. What a Shame! But you – you should not be a jerk like me and MUST MUST MUST do Scuba Diving in Goa. There are a lot of companies that run guided Scuba Diving groups in Goa. Here are some more important points about it.
There are many locations in Goa where one can do Scuba Diving. Grand Island off the Mormugao Harbour is one of the great locations in goa for scuba-diving as it has good underwater visibility. Other locations in Goa suitable for Scuba Diving are Davy Jones, Suzy’s Wreck, Tunnel Shelter Cove, Surge City, Bounty Bay, Uma Guma Reef, Devagh Island, St. George Island, Pigeon Island and Locker Sail Rock Turbo.
Is Scuba Diving safe for me?
I am no expert in this sport, neither do I know swimming myself. But is that going to stop me from experiencing this beautiful sport. Na!
Scuba Diving is not something which you cannot do if you do not know how to Swim. This is because in this sport, you get to wear the swimming suit, the breathing mask, the fins and all the necessary equipment to keep you safe. Also, with professionals that will take you to diving, will always be by your side for your safety.
Also, these companies prescribe diving points, limits to which one can go down based on the swimming skills one posses. All in all, it is a safe game and one must experience it.
