Blonde!

November 6th, 2011 No comments

A dumb blonde went into a department store for a new TV.

She said to the manager, “How much is this TV?”

The manager said, “I don’t sell my products to dumb blondes.”

So the blonde dyed her hair brown and she went back into the store. “How much is this TV?”

The manager said, “I don’t sell my products to dumb blondes.”

The blonde said, “How did YOU know?”

The manager said, “Because that’s not a TV. It’s a microwave.

Work-time emotions

September 25th, 2011 No comments

I know the title said it all. But am here to talk about something specific. The other day I was talking to a friend of mine who has been, since a long time, suffering from ‘bossy issues’. Day in and out I can hear a variety of swear words he uses to praise his boss. I guess Oxford dictionary publishers should hire him, as he can help them write  separate version dedicated to swear words.

Forget swear words, everyone of us would, at some point in time, would have murmured something or the other in while having work-time emotional breakdown. Like – Wednesday Thursday Friday (WTF) ;-) , Samajhte kya hai ye apne aapko!!

What a relief you get post such breakdowns! It is like coming out of a public toilet full of stink and getting a world-full air to breathe. It is like coming out of a Mumbai local on a western line at 9:00 AM while going down south.

Hehhehe. So guys, have you also ever felt such lightness? Have you also spoken words, had work-time emotions expressed anytime?

Who Divided India and Pakistan?

May 29th, 2011 4 comments

Whether it is Cricket, Politics, Terrorism or anything that brings close the 2 countries, i.e. India and Pakistan, the closeness and the intensity of the relationship shows up clearly. The relationship of hatred, enmity and revenge!

But why? Because, someone called Mahatma Gandhi divided the country in to 2 different geographies, marked by the difference of religion that 2 different groups followed? Are you sure? At least I am not, after reading this.

I came across a small article that talks about ‘India Independence Act’. Here is a small abstract about the act from Britannica:

Britain’s Parliament passed in July 1947 the Indian Independence Act, ordering the demarcation of the dominions of India and Pakistan by midnight of Aug. 14–15, 1947, and dividing within a single month the assets of the world’s largest empire, which had been integrated in countless ways for more than a century. Racing the deadline, two boundary commissions worked desperately to partition…

I never knew about this act, nor do I am still sure about this. Does anyone of you have anything to add to it? Shall we still believe in the stories that we have been hearing from our grandparents? Or, is there something that even they didn’t know!?

It seems Britishers have been way too successful in their strategy of ‘Divide and rule’!

Reference: The above citation has been piked directly from Britannica. As, I didn’t have paid account with the website, I couldn’t pick up the whole content and could pick up the above piece only.

If someone is knows better about this, please do share with us. At least I would like to know more about it.

Purest form of relationship

September 12th, 2010 2 comments

‘Enmity’ is the purest form of relationship in today’s world.

Sometimes you have to get to know someone really well to realize you’re really strangers.  ~Mary Tyler Moore

It may sound too negative, but thats the ugly truth. Just think for once, have you ever come across any enemy of yours (or any 2 people sharing this relationship) who have been disloyal in this relationship?

Welcome!
